The Menopause – a Time of Change
The menopause is a time of huge change for women and symptoms may last for many years. Although the average age of the menopause is 51, women can go through the menopause much earlier (for natural reasons or due to medicines or surgery).
Some women can have only a few symptoms, but it is unusual to have no symptoms at all. Symptoms can include: hot flushes and sweats, mood swings, anxiety, depression, palpitations, headaches and migraines, hair and skin changes, loss of libido, joint pains, bladder and bowel issues, vaginal dryness and infections, memory loss and ‘brain fog’.
